1 WHEREAS, The Saint Paul Division of Parks and Recreation holds a 3.2
2 malt license for the City's Midway Stadium; and
3 WHEREAS, 5ection 19, Chapter 554, Minnesota Laws 1990 pursuant to
4 Minnesota Statutes 1988, Chapter 654.021 allows the Division of Parks and
5 Recreation, with City Council approval, to sell 3.2 beer at events
6 sponsored by the Division of Parks and Recreation; and
7 WHEREAS, The Saint Paul Saints Northern League Baseball Team will
a operate all concessions for the City at Midway Stadium in 2003.
9 NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Saint Paul Saints Northern
10 League Baseball Team may use the Division of Parks and Recreation license
11 to sell 3.2 beer at the Midway Stadium in 2003 under the following terms
12 and conditions:
13 1. 5ales shall occur only when events are scheduled at Midway
14 Stadium.

That prudent care will be taken to insure that all sales are made
only to persons age 21 and over.
That prudent care will be taken to insure that no sales are made
to individuals who are or appear to be intoxicated.
19 4. That the Saint Paul Saints Northern League Baseball Team shall,

21 Saint Paul ordinances, laws, and statutes pertaining to the sale

25 provide liquor liability insurance in the amount of One Million
26 Dollars ($1,000,000.00) for the 2003 Stadium season. A
2� certificate of insurance naming the City of Saint Paul as an
28 additional insured shall be provided to the Division of Parks and
29 Recreation prior to any sale of 3.2 beer.

The City of Saint Paul holds the 3.2 Malt license for Midway Stadium. The Saint Paul Saints Northern League Baseball Club
hoids the Stadium concession rights. M approved Resolution by the Saint Paul City Council is necessary for the Saints to use
the City's License.
ADVAMAGES IF APPFiOVED:
32 beer will be available to those of age attending Saints games and other Stadium events. The City will receive revenue
from these sales as outlined in the {�qreement between the Ciiy and the Saint Paul Saints.
