An Ordina.nce Implementing the Saint Paul-
Ra.msey County Crimina.l Justice Advisory Com-
mission for the City of Saint Paul; Providing
for the Appointment of a Director and Chief
Planner, and Setting the Compensation Thereof.
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAINT PAUL DOES ORDAIN:
Section l.
That there is hereby created in the office of the Mayor a
Criminal Justice Advisory Commission and Coordinating Council for
the City of Saint Paul.
Section 2.
That the positions of Director and Chief Planner of said
Criminal Justice Advisory Commission and Coordina.ting Council are
hereby created. The Ma.yor, with the approval of the Council� sha.11
appoint such Director and Chief Planner who are hereby expressly
excepted from the Classified Civil Service of the City of Saint Paul.
Section 3.
That the duties of said Director and Chief Planner sha.11 be to
coordina.te the plans and programs. of the various Criminal Justice
Agencies in the City of Saint Paul and County of Ramsey, implement
programs to create a more efficient Criminal Justice System in said
City and said County� review all Grant Applications submitted by
the various agencies to the Commission, and create long-range
planning processes.
Section 4.
That the salary of said Director sha.11 be $690.00 bi-weekly,
and that the salary of said Chief Planner sha.11 be $594.00 bi-
weekly.
Section 5.
This ordina.nce is hereby declared to be an emergency ordinance
rendered necessary for the preservation of the public peace, health
and safety, and sha.11 take effect and be in force from and after
its pa.ssage, approval and publication.
