WHEREAS, Ralph L. Vorlicky,an employee of the Department of
Parks and Recreation and Public Buildings, was injured in a third
party accident on June 28, 1g71, while engaged in the performance
of his duties; and
WHEREAS, the City has incurred medical expense in the amount
of �138.95 therefor, and said employee was disabled from work for
a period of time being paid compensation at the rate of �70.00
per week, for which the City may claim credit at the rate of �70.00
per week; and
WHEREAS, a compromise settlement has been negotiated between
said employee and the other party involved in said accident which
provides for a net settlement to the City in the amount of �55s.95;
now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the proper City officers are hereby authorized
to accept the sum of �558•95 in full, final and complete settlement
of its claim herein; that of said sum �558.95 is thereby credited
to the Workmen' s Compensation Fund.
