Gentlemen and Nla.dam:
The City of Saint Pa.ul, acting through its Valuation Engineer, has negotiated
to purchase certain property described as follows:
South one-ha.l�' (SZ) of Lot three (3), except the East FiPty (E50)
feet thereof, in Block Twenty-nine (29), in I,afond's Addition to
Saint Pa.ul, Minnesota
The owners of the above described land, Herbert J. & Mary Olson, have accepted
an offer tendered them by the City in the amovnt of $13,504.00 as compensation
for the s�;].e of the land to the City.
This property, including land a,nd buildings, is needed by the City of 8aint
Pa.ul Por the Scheffer Recreation Center. In view of the reasonable price for
which it can be purchased, said price being the appraised fair and rea.sonable
market value therefore, we, the Cammittee on I,ands, do recomm�end to �he Council
of the City of Saint Paul that it authorize the purchase of said land in lieu
of condemnation proceedings at the price of $13,540.00, as negotiated with
the owner.
