WHEREA5, the Council of the City of Saint Paul is informed by
, the City Architect that the vacant and open buildings located at:
935 Rice Street
-in the City of Saint Pau1 are a pro:cimate hazard to the public health,
welfare axid s afety; and
WHERE.AS, the last known recard owners of said property are:
Harry J. & Catherine M. Steege
-and eaid owners have failed to secure the sarne against entry by unauthorized
pereons in violation of Section 192. 18 of the Saint Paul Legislativ�e Code, and
eaid vacant and open buildings have been found. and determined by the Council
of the City of Saint Pa�l to constitute a menace to the public health, welfare
and e afety and a public nuis ance which must be imrnediately abated to prevent
loea of lifQ or property; now, therefoxe be it
RE50LVED, that the City Architect is authorized and directed to
immsdiately secure said buildings by the use of contract labor unde� Contract
No. 739�pending proceedings under the Hazardous Buildings Act; and be it
FURTHER RESOLVED, that the expense of securing such buildings be
paid from Fund No. 0979-269, Summary Abatement, and that the Coxporation
Counael be directed to take appropriate action to reimburse said £und by
