The Council of the City of St. Paul having received the report of the Commissioner of Finance
upon the above improvement, and having considered said report, hereby resolves:
1. That the sa.id report and the same is hereby approved and adopted, and the said improvement
is hereby ordered to be proceeded with.
2. That the nature of the improvement which the Council recommends is
to coastruct and/or reconatruct the sidewalk an bcth sid�s of Clayland Street frcna�

Resolved Fur�her, That a public hearing be had on said improvement on the �th day of
April, 1971 , , at the hour of 10 o'cicek A.M., in the Council Chamber of the Court
House and City Hail Building in the City of St. Paul. That the Commissioner of Finance give notice of
said meeting to the persons and in the manner provided by the Charter, stating the time and place of
hearing, the nature of the improvement and the to ta1 cast thereof as estimated.

The Commissioner of Public Works, having had under consideration the preliminary
order of the Council known as Council File Pio. 252199 approved
Jaauarv 29th. 1971 relative to constructing and/or reconstructing the
side�a�k on both s-tdes of �ay�and St from Taylor Ave. t� Hewitt Ave. and bv
doin� a?? ott�r work which ia nPCpa�ary �d incidental to complete said improne-
ment.
and having investigsted the matters and things referred to therein, hereby reporta:
1. The estimated cost thereof is $4.40 per lin. ft. for standard sidewalk
5 ft. wide and $5.30 per lin. ft. for standard sidewalk b ft. wide.
2. A plan, profile or sketch af said improve�at is hereto attached and
made a part thereof.
