WHEREAS, Section 324 of the Cha.rter of the City of Saint
Paul provides that the Commissioner of Public Works sha.11
appoint a Deputy Commissioner of Public Works; and
WHEREAS, The Commissioner of Public Works desires to appoint
an Acting Deputy to serve until such time as the Commissioner may
appoint his Deputy Commissioner; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, Tha.t pursua.nt to Section 324 of the Cha.rter of the
City of Saint Paul, James F. Schwartz is appointed Acting Deputy
Commissioner of Public Works, with power to perform the functions
and responsibilities set forth in said Section 324, at no additiona.l
compensation, and sha.11 retain his Civil Service position as Head
Accountant in the Department of Public Works.
