directed to prepare plans and specifications for said improvement, and submit same to the Council for
approval; that upon said approval, the proper city afficials axe hereby authorized and directed to pro-
ceed with the making of said improvement in accordance therewith.

To the Commissioner of Finance of the City of Sto Paul;
The Coummissioner of Public Worka, having had under consideration the preliminary
order of the Council known as Council File Noo 253688 approved
April 20th. 19 71 relative to reconstructing the sidewalk on the south
side of Rose St. from Jackson S.t. to the east approximatelv 400 ft. and b doing
all other work which is necessary and incidental to cmplete said improvement.
and having investigated the �atters and things referred to thereia, hereby reports:
1. The estimated cost thereof is $4.40 per lino ft. for staadard sidewalk
5 ft. wide and $Se30 per lin. ft, for standard sidewalk 6 ft. widee
2. A plan, profile or sketch of said improvement is hereto attached and
made a part thereofo
3. Initiated by the Commissioner of Public Works X
