WHEREAS, John C. Vigoren and Daniel R. Sandell, employees
of the Department of Public Safety, Bureau of Police, were injured
in a third party accident on March 17, 19'71 , while engaged in
the performance of their duties; and
WHEREAS, . the City has incurred medical expense in the amount
of �87. 10 therefor, and said employeeswere disabled from work
for a period of time being paid salary in the amount of �269-55,
for which the City may claim credit at the rate of �70.00 per
week; and
WHEREAS, a compromise settlement has been negotiated between
said employees and the other party involved in said accident,
which provides for a net settlement to the City in the amount of
�185. 3U; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the proper City officersare hereby authorized
to accept the sum of �185.30 in full, final and complete settlement
of its claim herein; that of said sum �g8.00 is thereby credited
to the Police Salary Fund and �8'7. 30 to the Workmen' s Compensation
Fund.
