WHEREAS, An rd nance, C. F. No. , granting
pe�mission to St. Lukes Hospital to construct, operate and maintain
a pedestrian tunnel under Smith Avenue between Sherman and ChEStnut
Streets, has been prepared and introduced to the Council of the City
of St. Paul , and will be adop ted o�,��j� 3 Q �97� , and will be
effective eventually on A�li 3 'y I7� if approved by the Council ;
now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That pe�ding the said Ordinance becoming effective,
the Commissioner of Public Works is hereby authorized and directed to
issue a permit to St. Lukes Hospital for the construetion, operation
and maintenance of the said tunnel subject to th � e conditions and
requirements as set out in Ordinance C.F. No. pending
before the Council of the City of St. Paul , informa approval of the
said construction, operation and maintenance of the said tunnet being
hereby given in anticipation of the final adoption and approval of
said Ordinance.
