WHEREAS, the Saint Paul Bureau of Police finds that
it is necessary to re—schedule the hours of Bureau personnel
to facilitate the funetioning of the Bureau and to improve
its �fficiency; and
WHEREAS, Section 9 A 3 of the Civil �ervice Rules pro—
vides :
"To meet unusual conditions , or in the case of
certain seasonal employees whose total yearly
hours do not exceed 2088, upon request of the
department head, a different schedule may be
established for particular groups of employees
with the approval of the Civil Service Commissioner
and approval of the Council by resolution. "
Now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Saint Paul
does hereby approve that the personnel assigned to the 4�40
Program perform their duties by working a four—day week,
ten hours a day.
