3 WHEREAS, Jun Reiter served the citizens of the City of Saint Pau] and Wazd Five as an uncommon and unflappable Councilmember, from January 2,
a 1998, unril October 7, 2003 and
5 WHEREAS, Councilmember Jim Reiter's sudden death in October of 2003, greatly shocked the City Council, the citizens of Saint Paul, and especially
6 Jim's family and many close friends, and
7 WHEREAS, Jim's untimely death in no way diminishes h3s many contriburions to the City and his Wazd, as he was a devoted and hazd working
8 Councilmemberwhonevertookhimselftooseriously,andalwayshadtheabilitytodisuminagoodnaturedwayboththosewhoopposedhimandthose
9 who took themselves too seriously, and
10 WHEREAS, Councilmember Rei[er was a regulaz guy who was an extraordinary friend to many people, a devoted family man, and a special
ll Councilmember who would listen to people to understand what they needed or what they were concemed about, now therefoxe, be it
12 RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Saint Paul does hereby publically commend and thank Councilmember hm Reiter for his many yeazs of
t 3 service to the Ciry Council, the Ciry of Saint Paul, and the cihzens and businesses owners of Wazd Five, and be it
14 FURTI-IER RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Saint Paul vrishes to convey the haditional engraved metal plaque commemoratmg 7im's yeus
15 of service on the City Council, to Jim's wife Dazlene in deep appreciarion for Jim's work, his special sense of humor, and his devorions to the highest
16 ideals of public service, and, be it
