WHBREAS, the Counci of the City of Saint Paul, by
its Resolution, Council File 254171, approved May 21, 1971,
ratified damages incurred in the condemning and taking of
Lots 7, 8, 9 and 10, in Block 5, in Como Prospect Addition,
in the sum of $4,825.00; and
WHERgAS, the owners of said property, Edgar S. Ste�le and
Juanita Steele, duly filed their objections thereto and appealed
the award of damages to the Ramsey County District Court in ac-
cordance with the procedures set forth in the Charter of the City
of Saint Paul; and
WSEREAS, the owners of the subjeet property have agreed to
accept the sum of $5, 235.00 for their damages in the City' s con-
demning and taking their real property, and the City' s Valuation
Lngineer and the Corporation Counsel request that the City Council
approve such settlement as constitnting the fair �aarket value of the
land acquired by the City of Saint Paul; now, therefore, be it
RE�OLVED, That the Council of the City of Saint Paul does
hereby approve the settlement of the above natter and award in the

� and Juanita Sts►ele, owners, for the condemning and taking of their
real psoperty, Lots 7, 8, 9 and 10, in Block 5, in Como Prospect

� authorized and directed to make payment to Ldgar S. Steele aad Juanita
