In the Matter of reconstructing the sidewalk on both sides of West 6eorge Street
from Orleans Street to Manomin Avenne and by doing all other work Which is necessary
and incidental to coffiplete said i�aprovement,
under Preliminary Order ?S?�l7h approve� �tarch 10, 1971
The Council of the City of St. Paul having received the report of the Commissioner of Finance
upon the above improvement, and having considered said report, hereby resolves:
1. That the sa.id report and the same is hereby approved and adopted, and the said improvement
is hereby ordered to be proceeded with.
2. That the nature of the improvement which the Council recommends is
to reconstruct the side�valk on �ro� sides of West George Street fron (7rleans Street
to Manomin Avenne and by doina all other wvrk wlsich is necessary aad incide�ttal to
camplete said improvement, exccpt where good and sufficient poured sidewalks now
exist,
with no alternatives, and that the estimated cost thereof is $ 4.40 per lin ft for 5' wide walk
$ 5.30 per lin ft for 6' Wide walk
Resolved Further, That a public hearing be had on said improvement on the 27th day of
April, 1971 , at the hour of 10 o'clock A.M., in the Council Chamber of the Court
House and City Hail Building in the City of St. Paul. That the Commissioner of Finance give notice of
said meeting to the persons and in the manner provided by the Charter, sta.ting the time and place of
hearing, the nature of the improvement and the total cost thereof as estimated.
