WHEREAS, Raymond R. Schmidt, an employee of the Department
of Public Safety, Bureau of Police, was injured in a third
party accident on December 1, 1970, while engaged inthe perfor-
mance of his duties for said Bureau; and
WHEREAS, the City has incurred medical expense in the amount
of �48.00 therefor, and said employee was disabled from work
for a period of time, being paid salary in the amount of �36.'75;
and that the city squad car No, g26 was also damaged in said
aecident to the extent of �236.24 for which Comptroller' s
Registered Bill No. 3-6470 was issued; and
WI�REAS, a compromise settlement has been negotiated between
said employee and the other party involved in said accident,
which provides for a net settlement to the City in the amount
of �320.99; now, ther�efore, be it
RESOLVED� that the proper city officers are hereby authorized
to accept in full,final and complete settlement of its claim
herein the sum of �320.99; that of said sum, �36.75 is thereby
credited to the Police Salary Fund; �48.00 to the Workmen' s
Compensa tion Fund; and �236.24 in payment of Registered Bill
No. 3=6470.
