WF3ERF.A5, the Council o� the City of Saint Paul is informed by
the City Architect that the vacant: and. open buildings located at:

-zn the City of Saint Paul are a proximate hazard to the public health,
welfare and s afety; and
WHEREAS, the last known record owners of said property are:
Midwest Federal Savings & Loan Assn. and John & Mary Hanten
- -and said o��vners have failed to secure the same against entry by unauthorized
� persons in.violation of Section 192. 18 of the Saint Paul Legislative Code, and
said vacant and open buildings have been found. and determined by the Council
of the City of 5aint Paul to constitute a menace to the publi.c health, �uelfare
and safety and a public nuisazzce which must be inznzediately abated to pre'vent
loss of life or property; now= therefore Ue it
RESOLVED, that the City Architect is authorized and directed to
immediately secure said buildings by the use of contxact labor under Contract
�xx'��pending proceedings under the Hazardous Buildings Act; and be it
FUR'THER RESOLVED, that the expense of securing such buildings be
paid from Fund No. 0979-269, 5ummary Abatement, and that the Corporation
Counsel be directed to take appropriate action to reimburse said fund by
action against the owner of said property. (Estimated cost: $23. 50).
