The Council of the;�City of St. Paul having received the report of the Commissioner of Finance
upon the above improvement, and having considered said report, hereby resolves:
1. That the said report and the same is hereby approved a�d adopted, and the said improvement
is hereby ordered to be proceeded �vvith.
2. That the nature of the improvement which the Council recommends is

Resolved Further, That a public hearing be had on said improvement on the 1qt�► day of
xar�k, 1971 , at the hour of 10 o'clock A.M., in the Council Chamber of the Court
House and City Hall Building in the City of St. PauI. That th.e Commissioner of Finance give notice of
said m�eting ta the persons and in the manner provided by the Charter, sta.ting the time and place of
hearing, the nature of the improvement and the total cast thereof as estim�ted,

To the Commissioner of Finance of the City of St. Paul:
The Commissivner of Public Worka, having had under consideration the preliminary
order of the Council known as Council File No. 251899 approved
Januarv 8, 19 71 relative to reconstructing the sidewalk on the south
side of Alton St. from Stewart Ave. to W. 7th Street and by doing all other
work which is necessary and incidental to complete said improvement.
and having investigated the matters and things referred to therein, hereby reports:
1. The estimated cost thereof is $4.40 per line ft, for standard sidewalk
5 ft, wide and $5.30 per lin. ft. for standard sidewalk 6 ft. wide.
2. A plan, profile or gketch of said improvec�nt is hereto attached and
made a part thereof.
3. Initiated by the Cotmnissioner of Public Wortcs X
4. Improvement is asked for upon petition
