WH�RSAS, In the matter of Comptroller's Contract L-7326 for the BELT LINE
SEWER REP'AIR, Citq Project No. 70-S-1430, Northern Contracting Company, Contractor�
the specified date of completion is November 30, 1970, and
'WHEREAS, The Contractor has prosecuted the work dilfgently but due to the
questionable workmanship of some of the w�rk the Engineer w�uld not accept the
w�ork until the regrading work was done in the spring of 1971, so it was �ot
possible to complete the contract by said date of completion, therefore be it
RESOLVED, That the proper City Officials be and they are hereby authorized
� �and directed to execute an amendment to said oontract extending the time of com-
� ` pletion to May 1, 1971, provided however, that this resolution shall have no
force or effect unless the sureties on the Contractor's bond consent thereto and
file such oonsent in writing with the City Comptroller, and be it
FURTHSR RESOLVED, That the City of Saint Paul hereby waives all claim for
liquidated damages and that no engineering and inspection costs on this project
will be charged Co the Contractor for such extended period.
