In the Matter of changing the grade of the �lley in Block 7, Merriam Park Second
Addition to the City of St. Paul, fram Cleveland Aven�e to Wilder Street to conform
to the grade as ahawn on the profile on file in the Department of Public Works.
Also, coudemning and taking an easement in the land neceasary for the slopes, cuts
and fills, including xight of reffioval of lateral support from subjeat land or
remainder thereof, occasioaed bq excavations thereof, or construction of slopes in
the grading and surfaciag with bituminous material the alley in Block 7, M�erriam Park
Second Addition to the Citq of St. Paul, from Cleveland Avenne to Wilder Street, (G-1984),
under Preliminary Order 252969 approved March 10, 1971
The Council of the City of St. Paul having received the report of the Commissioner of Finance
upon the above improvement, and having considered said report, hereby resolves:
1. That the sa,id report and the same is hereby approved and adopted, and the said improvement
is hereby ordered to be proceeded with.
2. That the nature of the improvement which the Council recommends is
to change the grade of the alleq in �lock 7, Merriam Park �econd Addition te the City
of St. Panl, from Cleveland Aeenue to Wilder Street to coaforn to the grade as showa
oa the profile on file in the Depart�ent of Public Works. Also, condeamiag and taking
an �asement in the land �ecessary for the slopes, cuts and filla, iacludi�g right of
removal of lat�ral snpport fraea subject land ar re�ainder thereof, occasioned by ex-
cavations thereof, or constr�ction of slopes in the grading and surfacing with bitu-
minous aaterial the alley in Block 7, Merria� Park Second Addition to the City of
St. Paul, from Cleveland Avenue to Wilder Street, (G-1984), in accordance �ith the
blueprint hereto attached and �ade a part hereof, the hatched portians shawing the
cuts and the shaded portions showing the fills,
with no alternatives, and that the estimated coat thereof is $ 100.00
Resolved Further, That a public heaxing be had on said improvement on the llth day of
May, 1971 , at the hour of 10 o'clock A.M., in the Council Chamber of the Court
�iouse and City Hail Building in the City of St. Paul. That the Commissioner of Finance give notice of
said meeting to the persons and in the manner provided by the Charter, stating the time and .place of
hearing, the nature of the improvement and the total cost thereof as estimated.
