WHEREAS, the St. Paul Bureau of Police finds that it is necessary
to re-schedule the hours of departmental personnel assigned to the "Help"
Program to facilitate the functioning of said Program and improve its
efficiency; and
WHEREAS, 5ection 9 A 3 of the Civil Service Rules provi.des:
"To meet unusual conditions, and in the case of certaa.n seasonal
employees whose total yearly hours do not exceed 2088, upon
request of the department head, a different schedule may be
established for particular groups of employees with the approval
of the Civil Service Commissioner and approval of the Council
by resolution. "
Now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of St. Paul does hereby
approve that the personnel assigned to the "Help" Program perform their
duties by working a four-day week, ten hours a day.
