In the Matter of reconstructing the sidewalk and replacing with integral curb
and sidewalk on the north side of University Avenue from Simpson Street to Pascal Street
and by doing all other work which is necessary and incidental to complete said improve-

ment,
under Preliminary Order 253_7�9 approved A�ri 1 22, 1971
The Council of the City of St. Paul having received the report of the Commissioner of Finance
upon the above improvement, and having considered said report, hereby resolves:
1. That the said report and the same is hereby approved and adopted, and the said improvement
is hereby ordered to be proceeded with.
2. That the nature of the improvement which the Council recommends is
to reconstruct the sidewalk and replace wi�h integral curb and sidewalk on the north
side of University Avenue from Simpson Street to Pascal Street and by doing all other
work which is necessary and incidental to eomplete said im�r�ovement, except where good
and sufficient poured sidewalks now exist,
with no alternatives, and that the estimated cost thereof is $ 4.40 per lin ft for 5' wide walk
$ 5.30 per lin ft for 6' wide walk
$1.50 per sq ft for inte curb & walk
Resolved Further, That a public hearing be had on said improvement on the 25�th day of
June, 1971 , at the hour of 10 o'clock A.M., in the Council Chamber of the Court
House and City Hall Building in the City of St. Paul. That the Commissioner of Finance give notice of
� said meeting to the persons and in the manner provided by the Charter, stating the time and place of
hearing, the nature of the improvement and the total cast thereof as estimated.
