In the Matter of reconstructing the sidewalk on the south side of Case Avenue
from Johnson Parkway to ClaBence Street and on the north side of Case Aveaue fram
Johnson Parkway to the east approximately 800 feet and by doing all other work
which is necessary and incidental to complete said improvement,

The Council of the City of St. Paul having received the report of the Commissioner of Finance
upon the above improvement, and having considered said report, hereby resolves:
1. That the said report and the same is hereby approved and adopted, and the said improvement
is hereby ordered to be proceeded with.
2. That the nature of the improvement which the Council recommends is
to reconstruct the sidewalk on the south side of Case Avenue fram Johnson Parlc�ay
to Clarence Street and on the north side of Case Avenue from Johnson Parkway to the
east approximately 800 feet and by doing all other work which is necessary and inci-
dental to complete said improvement, except where good and sufficient poured sidewalks
now exist,
with no alternatives, and that the estimated cost thereof is $ 4_40 ner lin ft for 5' wide walk
$ 5.30 per lin ft for 6' wide walk
Resolved Further, That a public hearing be had on said improvement on the 24th day of
June, 1971 , at the hour of 10 o'cicek A.M., in the Council Chamber of the Court
House and City Hail Building in the City of St. Paul. That the Commissioner of Finance give notice of
said meeting to the persons and in the manner provided by the Charter, sta,ting the time and place of
heaxing, the nature of the improvement and the total cast thereof as estimated. ___.__

The Commissioner af Public Works, having had under consideration the preliminary
order of the Council known as Council File No. �S��Rh approved
Anril 20th. 1971 relative to reconstructing the sidewalk on the south
�ide of Case Ave. from Johnson .Parkvay to Clarence St. and on the north side of
�ase Ave. from Johnson Parkwav to the east approximately 800 ft. and by doing all
9�her work which is necessary and incidental to complete said improvement.
and having investigated the matters and things referred to therein, hereby reports:
1. The estimated cost thereof is $4.40 per lino ft. for standard sidewalk
5 ft. wide and $5>30 per lin. ft, for standard sidewalk 6 ft. wide.
