In the Matter of reconstructing the sidewalk on bo�h sides of Acker Street fram
Cortland Place to Elk Street and Elk Street extend�d,^:and by doing all other work �hich
is necessary and incidental to complete said improvement,
under Preliminary Order 253591 approve� Agr;1 13, 1971
The Council of the City of St. Paul having received the report of the Commissioner of Finance
upon the above improvement, and having considered said report, hereby resolves:
1. That the said report and the same is hereby approved and adopted, and the said improvement
is hereby ordered to be proceeded with.
2. That the nature of the improvement which the Council recommends is
to reconsCruct the sidewalk on both sides of Acker Street from Cortland Place to
Elk Street and Elk Street extended and by doing all other work which is necessary
and incidental to complete said improvement, except where good and sufficient poured
sidewalks now exist,
with no alternatives, and that the estim�ted cost thereof is $ 4.40 per lin ft for 5' wide walk
$ 5.30 per lin ft for 6' wide walk
. Resolved Further, That a public hearing be had on said improvement on the 17th day of
June, 1971 , at the hour of 10 o'clock A.M., in the Council Chamber of the Court
House and City Hail Building in the City of St. Paul. That the Commissioner of Finance give notice of
said meeting to the persons and in the manner provided by the Charter, stating the time and place of
hearing, the nature of the improvement and the total cast thereof as estimated.
