In the Matter of reconstructing the sidewalk on the east side of White Bear Avenue
from Nevada Avenue to Nebraska Street and by doing all other work which is necessary
and incidental to complete said improvement,
under Preliminary Order 253581 approve� April 13� 1971
The Council of the City of St. Paul having received the report of the Commissioner of Finance
upon the above improvement, and having considered said report, hereby resolves:
1. That the sa.id report and the same is hereby approved and adopted, and the said improvement
is hereby ordered to be proceeded with.
2. That the nature of the improvement which the Council recommends is
to reconstruct the sidewalk on the east side oE White Sear Avenue fram Nevada
Avenue to Nebraska Avenue and by doing all other work which is necessary and inci-
dental to complete said impro�i�ement, exce�t where good �nd sufficient poured sidewalks
now exist,
with no alternatives, and that the estimated cost thereof is $ 4.40 per lin ft for 5' wide walk
$ 5.30 per lin ft for 6' wide walk
Resolved Further, That a public hearing be had on said improvement on the 1=th day of
June, 1971 , at the hour of 10 o'clock A.M., in the Council Chamber of the Court
House and City Hall Building in the City of St. Paul. That the Commissioner of Finance give notice of
said meeting to the persons and in the manner provided by the Charter, stating the time and place of
hearing, the nature of the improvement and the total cast thereof as estimated.

The Commissioner of Public Works, having had under consideration the preliminary
order of the Council known as Council File No. 253581 approved
�April 13th. 19 71 relative to reconstructing the sidewalk on the east
side of White Bear Ave. from .Nevada Ave. to Nebraska St. and by doing all other
work which is necessary and incidental to complete said improvement.
and having investigated the matters and things referred to therein, hereby reporta:
1. The estimated cost thereof is $4.40 per lin. ft, for standard sidewalk
5 ft. wide and $5.30 per lin. ft. for standard sidewalk 6 ft. wide..
2. A plan, profile or sketch of said improvement is hereto attached and
made a part thereof,
