In the Matter of reconstructing the sidewalk on both sides of White Bear Avenue
from Bush Avenue to Ross Avenue and on the west side from Ross Avenue to Seventh
Street and by doing all other work which is necessary and incidental to camplete
said improvement,
under Preliminary Order �535oR approve—Tril 2, L971
The Council of the City of St. Paul having received the report of the Commissioner of Finance
upon the above improvement, and having considered said report, hereby resolves:
1. That the said report and the same is hereby approved and adopted, and the said improvement
is hereby ordered to be proceeded with.
2. That the nature of the improvement which the Council recommends is
to reconstruct the sidewalk on both sides of White Bear Avenue from Bush Avenue to
Ross Avenue and on the wESt side from Ross Avenue to Seventh Street and by doing
all ofiher work which is necessary and incidental to complete said improvement,
except where good and sufficient poured sidewalks now exis�,
with no alternatives, and that the estim�ted coat thereof is $ 4.40 per lin ft for 5' wide walk
$ 5.30 per lin ft for 6' wide walk
Resolved Further, That a public hearing be had on said improvement on the 17th , day of
June,_1971 , at the hour of 10 o'clock A.M., in the Council Chamber of the Court
House and City Hail Building in the City of St. Paul. That the Commissioner of Finance give notice of
said meeting to the persons and in the manner provided by the Charter, stating the time and place of
hearing, the nature of the improvement and the total cost thereof as estimated.
