tiHEREAS, Conptroller's Contract L-9002, Barton Contracting Co�pany, Contractor
for the I�provemeat of Streets, Alleys, and Sidewalks in CENSUS TRACT 9 and 10,
Contract A, City Yroject No. 69-G-1889, has been substantially completed, 8nd
WHSRHAS, Said Contractor requests that a portion of the 10� ret�in�d under
the contract f rom estimatcs for work done be paid in advance of the final coen-
pletion of the contract, and
WHSREAS, The Co�saissioner and Chief Engineer of the Depart�ent of Fublic Works
approve the payment at this time of $70,000.00 of the $130,955.35 retained; there-
fore be it
��� RFSOLV$D, That the proper City Officials be and they are hereby authorized to
� pay an estimate in the amount of $70,000.00 from the retained percentage of
$13�,955.35 to said Contractor; and be it
FURTHBR RF.SOLVBD, That this re,solution shall have no force or effect unless
the sureties on the Contractor's bond consent thereto in writing and file �uch
consent with the City Cosptroller.
