In the Matter of condemning and taking an easement in the land necesaary for the
slopes, cuts and fills, including right of removal of lateral s�pport from sub�e�t
land or �emainder thereof, occasiorsi by excavations' ther�of or construction of slopes
in the grading and surfacing with bituminous 'material the alley in,Martin's and Lienau's `
Rea�rangement of Lots 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5, Block 16, Bell's Add:ition to West St. Paul, _
Minnesota from State to Ada, -to a width of 12 feet,
under P�eliminary Order 250914 approv� October 23, 1970
The Council of the City of St: Paul having received the report of the Commissioner of Finance
upon the above improvement, and having considered said report, her�by resolves: -
1. That the said report and:the same is hereby approved and adopted, and the said improvement
is hereby ardered to be proceeded with.
2. That the nature of the improvement which the Council recommends is
to condemn and take an easement in the land neces�ary for the slopes; cuts and fiTls,
including right of remoaa� of lateral support from subject,land or remainder thereof,
occaaioned by excavations thereof or construction of slopes in the grading and sur-
facing with bituminous material the alley in ,Martin's and T,ienan.'.� Rearrangement of
Lots 1, 2, 3, 4 and S, Bloc1� 16, Bell's Addi�ion to West St. Pau1, Minnesota from State
to Ada, to a width of 12 feet, in accordance with the bluepri:nt hereto attached and made
a part hereof, the hatched portions showing the cuts and the sh�ded portions showing
the #ills,
with no alternatives, and that the estimated coat thereof is $ 55.00
Resolved Further, That a public hearing be had on said improvement on the 3rd` day of
February, 1971 , at the hour of ].0 0'+�lock A.iVi., in the Counci� Chamber af the Court
House and City Hall Building in the City of St. Paul. That the Commissioner a� Finance give notice of
said meeting to the persons and in the manner provided by the Charter, stating the time and plac� of
hearing, the nature of the improvement and the total coat thereof as estimatcd..
