WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Saint Paul is inforrned by
the City Architect that the vacant and open buildings located at:
222 Clermont Street
-in the City of Saint Paul are a proximate hazard to the public health,
welfare and s afety; and. .,
WHERE.AS, the last known record o�vners of said property are:
Crystal A. Thrash
-and saicl owners have failed to secure the same against entry by unauthorized
persons in vio].ation of Section 192a 18 of the Saint Paul Legislative Code, and
said vacant and open buildings have been found. and. determined by the Council
of the City of Saint Paul to constitute a menace to the public health, weJ.fare
and safety and a public nuisance which must be immediaL-e1y abated to prevent
loss of li£e or property; now, therefore be it
RESOLVED, that the City Architect is authorized and directed to
immediately secure said buildings by the use of contract labor under Contract
No. 7358 pending proceedings under the Hazardous Buildings Act; �.nd be it
FURTHER RESOLVED, that the expense of securir.g su.ch buildings be
paid from Fund P1o. 0979-269, Surnmary Abatement, and that thr Corporation
Counsel be directed to talce appropriate action to reimbLirs e s air� zund by
action against the owner of said property.
