In the Matter of opening, widening and extending VAN DYKE STREET from Wilson Avenue
to Conway Street by taking and condemning for street purposes that part of
Lot 1, Block 4, Hudson Road Gardens described as follows: Beginning at the South-
east corner of said Lot 1; thence Northerly on the East line of said Lot 1, a distance
of 120 feet to the Northeast corner of said Lot 1; thence Westerly on the North line of
said Lot 1, a distance of 20 feet; thence Southeasterly to the point of beginning,

The Council of the City of St. Paul having received the xeport of the Commissioner of Finance
upon the above improvement, and having considered said report, hereby resolves:
1. That the said report and the same is hereby approved and adopted, and the said improvement
is hereby ordered to be proceeded with.
2. That the nature of the improvement which the Council recommends is
to open, widen and extend VAN DYKE STREET from Wilson �venue to: Couwa�r 3treet by

taking and condemning for street purposes that part of Lot 1, Block 4, Hudson
Road Gardens described as follows: Beginning at the Southeast corner of said Lot 1;
thence Northerly on the East line of said Lot 1, a distance of 120 feet to the
Northeast corner of said Lot 1; thence Westerly on the North line of said Lot 1,
a distance of 20 feet; thence Southeasterly to the point of beginning,
with no alternatives, and that the estianated cost thereof is $ 1000_00
Resolved Further, That a public hearing be had on said improvement on the 5th day of
AuQUSt, 1971 , at the hour of 10 o'cicek A.M., in the Council Chamber of the Court
House and City Hail Building in the City of St. Paul. That the Commissioner of Finance give notice of
said meeting to the persons and in the manner provided by the Charter, stating the time and place of
hearing, the nature of the improvement and the total cost thereof as estimated.
