WHEREAS, the City of Saa.nt Paul ha,s filed an application
with the United States of America, Department of Housing and
Urban Development (as per Council File No. 2508�+2, a�pted October 20,
1970) for an Open-Space Land Grant to assist in the acqui.sition of
the Arlington-Arkwright Park Site; and
WI�REAS, due to increased acquisition costs, it has become
necessary to request an additional grant from the United States of
America, Department of Housing and Urban Development; and
WI�RF�AS, it is currently esti.ma.ted that the add.itional
acquisition costs will total $�+9,156; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the Co�issioner of Paxks and Recreation and
Pablic Buildings is hereby authorized to file an aanended application
with the United States of America, Department o� FIousing and Urban
Develrypment, requesting an increase in the grant in the a.mount of
$2�+,578.
