1 WFIEREAS, the Saint Paul City Council has received numerous complaints regazding polling locations in the City
2 of Saint Paul specifically from Suuuiiit-University and downtown residents ; and
3 WHEREAS, the City of Saint Paul merged its election office with Ramsey County in 1997; and
4 WHEREAS, polling location errors can affect citizen involvement in elections; now therefore be it
RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council requests a report from the Citizens Service Office and the Ramsey
County Elections Office on the polling location problems present in the 2002 September Primary Election and
options to preclude those problems occurring in the November General Election; and be it fiuther
RESOLVED, that the City Council requests that this report be presented to the City Council at its September 25,
2002 meeting
