I transmit herewith preliminary estimate of cost for regrading and
surfacing with bituminous material Pascal Street from Jefferson Avenue
to Stanford Avenue, including the Wellesley Avenue intersection under
Preliminary Order 251426, approved December 4, 1970.

The above project is within the limits of the S-0990 JEFFERSON-SARATOGA
SEWER SYSTEM. When a sewer is constructed in an oiled street, the no�mal
procedure is to excavate a trench ten feet wide at the top centered on the
sewer alignment. The street is then restored to its original crown and
surface. This street has an unusually high crown and for a nominal additional
cost, this crown could be corrected and the street surfaced for its enti�e
width with a hot mix bituminous pavement. If this is done, the sewer contract
would finance 1/3 of the regrading and su�facing costs with the other 2/3
being financed by assessments and long side aid. � '�-
