Marshall City Clerk Roam 386 City Hall Dear Sir: This is written in response to the appeal of Mrs. Ruth B. Dahlby to relax the frontage and area requirements to allow the continued use of a 3-plex on a site located on the southeast corner of East Geranium Avenue and Walsh Street. This property is further described as: Lot 1, Block 21, Oakville Park Addition 2 This matter was first before the Board of Zoning on December 3, 1970 at which time the Board laid over the matter because there was not a representative of the appellant at the hearing. The Board of Zoning again heard this matter on December 17, 1970 at which time the staff reported that the variances requested involved 20% of the frontage and 29.64% of the area. The staff report noted that the Zoning Board had recoirnnended denial of lesser variances but also noted that the City Council rezoned this site in order to allow the existing 3-plex. The appellant, Mrs. Dahlby, appeared and stated that this structure was built in 1897 and was remodeled in 1936. Subsequently, the Board heard a motion to recommend approval of the appeal. The motion was seconded and carried by a 3 - 1 vote. Very truly yours, t l G% r--._..,. P'+' TER J. TA Secretary, ard of Zoning PJM;kk PLR Z. F. k7066 £. ,;'.''- ,,,. .; O .
