Curran has , for the past 39 years , served the Gity of Saint Paul with distinetion as a fire fighter, District Fire Chief, and as Assistant Fire Chief of the City of Saint Paul , now retiring from publie life ; and WHEREAS, said R. E. Curran has participated in many and various programs for the benefit of the fire fighter and the Department, the Local Union, and in the presentation of programs in behalf of the fire fighter and the Department bEfore the State Legislatiare with respec� to pensions and other benefits ; and WHEREAS, he has further, during his career and in connee.� tion therewith, been consistent and persevering in his contribu- tions to the general welfare and well being of the citizens of Saint Paul and the community generally; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the City Couneil, on. behalf of its members and on behalf of the citizens of the City of Saint Paul, for r; whom he has devoted the greater part of his life , hereby expresses ' �.ts thanks to the said R.
