under Preliminary Order �g�Z�g approved April 22.., 1971
The Council of the City of St. Paul having received the report of the Commissioner of Finance
upon the above improvement, and having considered said report, hereby resolves:
1. That the said report and the same is hereby approved and adopted, and the said improvement
is hereby ordered to be proceeded with.
2. That the nature of the improvement which the Council recommends is
to reconstruct the sidewalk aad replace with integral curb and sidewalk oa both
sides of University Aveaue from Rice Street to Marion S�reet and by doiag all
other work vhich is necessary and incidental to complete said improvemeat, excep t
where good and sufficient poured sidewAlka ncya exist,
with no alternatives, and th�t the estimated cost thereof is $ 1.60 per lin ft for 5' Wide walk
$ 3.20 per lis� ft for 6' sride valk
$ 1.00 per sq ft for inte. ct�rb � walk
Resolved Further, That a public hearing be had on said improvement on the 7th day of
Sente�ber} 1�1 , at the hour of 10 o'clock A.M., in the Council Chamber of the Court
House and City Hall Building in the City of St. Paul. That the Commissioner of Finance give notice of
said meeting to the persons and in the manner provided by the Charter, sta.ting the time and place of
hearing, the nature of the improvement and the total cost thereof as estimated.
