Sewer in SI1�S AVBNUE from Kennard Street to Flandrau Street, City Project No.
7U-G-1914 and 70-S-1402, Shafer Contractin� Companq, Inc., Contractor, the
specified dat� of completion is October 1, 1970, and
WHEREAS, The Contractor did not oomplete the oontract by safd' date of com-
pletion, therefore be it
RESOLVED, Thst the proper City Ufficials be and they are hereby authorized
�'and directed to execute an amend�nent to said c�ontract eatending the time of oom-
� pletion to July 23, 1971, provided how�ever, that this resolvtion shall have no
force or effect unless the sureties on the Contractor's bond oonsent thereto and
file such consent in writing with the City Comptroller, and be it
FURTH'�R RESOLVED, That the Cfty of Saint Paul hereby waives all claim �or
liquidated damages and that no engine�ring and inspection costs on this prnject
will be charged to the Contractor for such extended period.
