WHEREAS, The City of Saint Paul has entered into a contract with
the United States of America,: Department of Housing and Urban Development,
for an Open Space Land Grant to assist in the acquisition of the Rice-
Arlington Recreation Site; and
WHEREAS, increased costs have made it necessary to request an
additional sum of money from the Department of Housing and Urban Development;
now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED, that the Commissioner of Parks and Recreation and
Public Buildings is hereby authorized to request an amendment to the
existing contract increasing the grant by the sum of $67,500.
