WHEREAS, the City of Saint Paul holds title and interest
to a vacated portion of Fourth Street extending from the
� eastern boundary of the new Civic Center Concourse to the
west line of Washington Avenue; and
WHEREAS, such area and its development is of central
interest to the Civic Center Authority in its overall plan
of development for the Civic Center Complex; and
WHEREAS, the Civic Center Authority, by Resolution No.
537, has requested that the Mayor and Council of the City of
Saint Paul dedicate such area to be known as "I. A.
0'Shaughnessy Plaza"; and
WHEREAS� the Civic Center Authority and the Ma.yor and
the Council of the City of Saint Paul wish to recognize the
continued civic and charitable contributions of I. A.
0' Shaughnessy to the citizenry of the City of Saint Paul;
now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, . Tha.t the authorized off icers of the City of
Saint Paul are hereby authorized and directed to take such
actions as are necessary to dedicate said area in the manner
requested by the Civic Center Authority in conjunction and
cooperation with the membership of the Civic Center Authority.

of Fourth Street hereinabove referenced be dedicated and known as
"I. A. 0'Shaughst�ssy Plaza". � � . -

are hereby respectfuily requested to take such actions as are
necessary to dedicate said area in the manner hereinabove
