WHEREAS, the Gongress of the United States has passed a
bill providing for the sharing of revenues gathered by th�
United States Government with the several states; and
WHER.EA5, the President of the United States will sign th�
bill into law on October 17, 1972, at Independence Hall in
Philadelphia, Pennsylv�nia; and
WHEREAS, property tax relief is a most important priority
among the fiscal programs of local municipalities; now, therefore,
be it
RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Saint Paul declares
its intent to substantially use whatever portion of federal revenue
sharing funds that are allocated to the City of Saint Paul for
prop�rty tax relief for its citizens.
