In the Matter of condemning and taking an easement in the land necessary for the
slop�s, cuts and fills, including right of removal of lateral support from subject
land or remainder thereof, occasioned by�excavations thereof, or conatruction of

slopes in the grading and surfacing wit�t bituminous material the East-Weat alley
in Block 2, J. W. Bass' Subdivision from Newcomb Street to Atlantic Street (G-1682)
under Preliminary Order 257230 approved January 31, 1972
The Council of the City of St. Paul having received the report of the Commissioner of Finance
upon the above improvement, and having considered said report, hereby resolves: �
1. That the sa.id report and the same is hereby approved and adopted, and the said improvement
is hereby ordered to be proceeded with.
2. That the nature of the improvement which the Gouncil r`e�ommends is
to condemn and take an easement in the land necessary for �the slopes, cuts a�d
fills, inclu�ing right of removal of lateral support from subject� land_ or remeinder -
thereof, occasioned by excavationa thereof, or construction of slopes in the grading
and sufacing with bituminous material the East-West alley in Block 2, J. W. Bass�
Subdivision from Newcamb Street to Atlantie Street (G-1682), in accordance with the
blueprint h�reto attached and made a part hereof, the hatched portions ��wing the
cuts and the shaded portions shaWing the fills,
with no alternatives, �,nd that the estimated cost thereof is $ 50.00
Resolved Further, That a public heaxing be had on said improvement on the 4th day of
April, 1972 , , at the hour of 10 o'clock A.M., in the Council Chamber of the Court
House and City Hail Building in the City of St. Paul. That the Commissioner of Finance give notice of
said meeting to the persons and in the manner provided by the Charter, sta.ting the time and place of
hearing, the nature of the improvement and the total cost thereof as estimated.
