DOUGLAS RELIEF SEWER SYSTEM in order to maintain the best possible access to the construction area for the public and emerqency vehicleSbecause of construction by other departments and governmental agencies, the City will re�uire the following additional requlrements pertaining to traffic and restoration. i TRAFFIC CONSIDERATIONS A. The Contractor will not be allo��ed to construct sewer both in Gotzian Street from Third Street to Fifth Street and Hancock Street from Third Street to Margaret Street at the same time. One of the preceding streets must be constructed and restored to a driveable condition before work in the other street may begin. : B. Burns Avenue from Johnson Parkway to Frank Street and Frank Street from 8urns Avenue to Thorn Street shall be restored immediately after pipe construction in order that Burns Avenue becomes available as soon as possible for detour traffic for other projects in the vicinity. The Contractor shall also� provide for emergency vehicle access to Mounds Park Nospital during pipe construction and restoration on Burns Avenue. I I RESTORA710�J REQU 1 REPIENTS A. The Contractor shall conduct his operation such that no more than 1000 lineal feet of sewer trench is open without beginning restoration operatton. In all streets,construction of catch basin leads shall follow directly behind mainline sewer construction. III PAYMENT FOR CONCRETE CURB Delete the last two paragraphs of Special Provision # 56, Page� 19 of the Contract and insert the following: All concrete curb construction shall be in accordance with Section 13 of the City of St. Paul Standard Specifications. The amount of curb removed and replaced for catch basin construction will be determined by the Enqineer. IV QUANTITIES A. The 12-4' 42" R.C.P. 7�° Bends called for on Plan Sheet �4331 at Burns Avenue and Johnson Street shall be changed to read 12-4' 36" R.C.P. 7�° radius bends Class Itl . Atso, Storm Sewer, Design "M" in Special Provision 35, Paqe 9 of the contract shall be changed to read Storm Sewer, Design "M" = 36" R.C. 7�° Long Radius Bends Class ill .
