WHEREAS, The--Council of the City of Saint Paul, pursua.nt to
Council File No. 245632 (approved September 18, 1969), authorized
Comptroller' s Contract No. L-7222 for the furnishing and delivery
to the City of all labor, materials, equipment and services neces-
sary for and reasona.bly incidental to the General Construction of
Fire Station No. 4, Payne Avenue and Woodward Avenue; and Fire
Station No. 24� White Bear Avenue, near Burns Avenue, Saint Paul,
Minnesota� for the Department of Public Safety; and
WHEREAS, The Contractor� Sweitzer Construction Company, was
unable to complete the contract work before the specified expira-
tion date, which was May l, 1970, due to una.nticipated difficulties
in meeting specifications; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED� Tha.t the proper City officials be and they are
hereby authorized and directed to execute an Amendment to Contract
No. L-7222, extending the time to complete the contract to April
28, 1971.
