An ordinance amending Chapter 487
of the Legislative Code entitled
"Uniform Allowance, Public Safety
Police", as amended�
THE COUNCIL OF THE C�TY OF SAINT PAUL DOES ORDAIN:
Section l. That Chapter 487 .01 of the Legislative Code is
hereby amended by striking and deleting therefrom the following
word and numbers "January 1, 1968" and inserting in lieu and in
�lace thereof "August 1, 1972", and further, the sign and numbers
'$120.00" are hereby stricken and deleted therefrom and the following
inserted in lieu and in place thereof "$180.00"rt
Section 2. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force
thirty (30) days after its passage, approval and publication, but
additionally, shall not go into effect prior to August 1, 1972.

to be used to replace:wom items of apparel�as hereinafter provided: Said.
allowance shall be accumulative from year to year. Apparel damaged in -
line of duty may, at the discretion of the Bureau, be replaced. When;au- .
thorized, such replacement shall not be chazged to the account of the in- ,
dividual officer.
48"1.O�Replacements, Qualified Items,
The items of uniform for which said aIlowance for replacement of certain •
items of uniform is authorized are the following: overcoat, blouse coat,
jacket (winter), jacket (intermediate), parkas, trousers, shirts, Sam Brown
: belt, Garrison belt, holster, Bucco helmet, vest, flashlite holder, cartridge
holder, tie, raincoat, caps (summer-winter), cap cover (rain), rubber leg-
gings, whistle chain, shoes, rubber overshoes, rubbers (rain), rain suits
(motorcycle), handcuff case and handcuffs.
