RESOLVED, that a net extra in the amount of Four Thousand
Two Hundred Dollars be allowed under Contract L-7480 between the City
of Saint Paul and the A. J. Ryan Land.scape Supply Co. , Inc. , said contract
for General Grading, Site Refinements and Fencing at Rice and Lawson
Playground, and said changes to cover the following;
Delete seeding of the area west of the building
and shown on the original plan as the "Area to
be Seed.ed. << DEDUCT $2, 100
5od the same area. ADD 6, 300
Net Extra to contract ADD $4, 200
..said changes having been requested by the Commissioner of Parks, Recreation
and Public Buildings, and agreement mad.e with the contractor, and a
memorand.um of said. agreement having been filed with the Comptroller and
countersigned by him. Charge to 6000-502 to be reimbursed from Independ.ent
School District No. 625 funds, as authorized by attached letter d.ated April 27, 1972.

As discussed with you earlier it is the intent o.f the St. Paul
Schools to sod the athletic field rather than seeding, which
is currently a part of the construction contract. ;

The addition<31 cost you have ind�.cated to provide the sod in �
lieu of seeding is $4200.00. This figure is acceptable and I
would suggest you proceed with a change order, billing the
school district for this additional work.
