COUNCIL RESOLUT ON—GENERAL FORM
PRES6NTED BY
COMMISSIONE ATF
WHEREAS, William L. Sarro, an employee of the Department of
Public Safety, Bureau of Police, was injured in a third party
accident on May 13, 1971, while engaged in the performance of his
duties; and
WHEREAS, the City has incurred medical expe�se in the amount
of �235.00 therefor, and said employee was disabled from 'work
for a period of time being paid salary in the amount of �940.50
for which the City may claim credit at the rate of �70.00 per
week; and
WHEREAS, a compromise settlement has been negotiated between
said employee and the other party involved in said accident which
provides for a net settlement to the City in the amount of �785.00
after deductions for proportionate attorney' s fees and costs;
now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED that �he proper Gity officers are hereby authorized
to accept the �um of �785.00 in full , final and complete settlement
of its claim herein; that of �aid �um �308.00 is thereby credited
to the Police Salary Fund and �4'7'7.00 to thE Workmen' s Compensation
Fund.
