.A� dinance amending Ordinance No. 3250, entitled:
"An administrative ordinance relating to the Civil
Service Bureau of the City of Saint Paul, approving and adopting
rules and regulations therefor, "
approved August 20, 1914, as amended.,
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAINT PAUL DOES ORDAIN:
Section 1. That Ordinance No. 3250, approved August 20, 1g14,
as amended, be and the same is hereby further amended by adding,at the
, end of subsection A of Section 8, the followi.ng:
"13 No person employed by Model Cities in the Unclassified Service
shall suffer any reduction in compensation if he is appointed to
a position in the Classi.fied Service with the same duties and in
the same grade. "
� Section 2. This ordinance shall take effect and be i.n force thirty
days after its pas sage, approval, and publication,

This ordinance is being proposed so that employees of Model Cities
who will be examined and put in the Classified Service in accordance with
the directive of the Federal Government will receive no reduction in pay;
that is, those who are hired at some Step above Step A will not have to
suffer a reduction when they are brought into the Classified Service.
