L� � f'� : l 1m R LUTION GTY F S PAUL, {Il� /i Presented By Referred To Committee: Date 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 29 30 31 32 33 34 35 36 37 38 RESOLUTION ACCEPTING GRANTS FROM THE DEPARTMENT OF TRADE AND ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AND THE METROPOLITAN COUNCIL FOR THE REMEDIATION OF THE US BANKINORTH STORM SEWER WIlEREAS, the City Council on May 1, 2002, by Resolution Nuxnber 02-374 authorized the Director of the Departrnent of P1amling and Economic Development to apply to the Metropolitan Council and the Deparkment of Trade and Economic Development for grants to remediate the US Bank/ North Storm Sewer site; and WHEREAS, the Department of Trade and Economic Development approved a$226,495 grant from its Contamination Cleanup Grant Program, and the Metropolitan Council approved a$39,259 grant from the Tas Base Revitalization account of its Livable Communities Program; and WHEREA5, the Mayor, pursuant to Section 10.07.1 of the Charter of the City of Saint Paul, does hereby certify that $265,754 in funds are available for appropriation in excess of those estimated in the 2002 budget and recommends the following changes to the 2002 budget: Current Budeet FINANCING PLAN 101-36303-3490-61655 DTED 101-36303-3802-61655 Met Council Total Financing � 0 Chanees 226,495 39,259 265,754 SPENDING PLAN 101-36303-0547-61655 Cleanup-N. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the sources and amounts of the local match identified in the application are committed for the project. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City of St. Paul has not violated any Federal, 5tate or local laws pertaining to fraud, bribery, graft, kickbacks, collusion, conflict of interest or other unlawful or comxpt practice. a�-��� 39 40 41 42 43 44 45 46 47 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City of St. Paul Department of Planning and Economic Development may enter into an agreement with the State of Minnesota for the above-referenced project, and that the St. Paui Depariment of Plaiming and Economic Development certifies that it will comply with a11 applicable laws and regulation as stated in all contract agreements. NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Interim Director of the Department of Plauning and Economic Development is hereby authorized to execute such agreements as are necessary to implement the project on behalf of the City of St. Paul.
