COMMISSIONE
WHEREAS, The City of Saint Paul intends to construct an
addition to the Ford Parkway Branch Library; and
WHEREAS, An ad hoc committee composed of representatives of
the City Architect's Office and the Department of Librartes and
Civic Buildings conducted �nterviews with 19 Saint Paul Architectural
firms on January 6th, 7th and 1Qth, 1972; and
WHEREAS, After extensive evaluation of each architectural firm
„ intervietived and data compiled from each interview, it was determined
. that Ellerbe Architects was the firm best qualified to design the
proposed addition to the Ford Parkway Branch Library; and
WHEREAS, Victor J. Tedesco, Commissioner of Parks, Recreation
and Public Buildings, and Leonard t�. Levine, Commissioner of Libraries
and Civic Buildings, concur in recommending that said contract for
the design of the proposed addition to the Ford Parkway Branch
Library be awarded to Ellerbe architects; now therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That Ellerbe ^Architects be awarded the contract
for the design of the proposed addition to the Ford Parkway Branch
Library and that the proper City officials are hereby authorized
and directed to draw up and execute the necessary documents to effect
said contract.
