Req�irements For the Life Guard and �
Water Safety Inetructor Ega�inationa
On March 31, 1971 an examination was held for Life Guard
and Water Safety Inatructor.
All availa,ble candidatea who pe►ssed the exa�inations
were appointed.
These included:
Life Guard = 14 Resiients 5 l�on-residents
Wat�r Safety IMStructor = 5 Residenta � Ron-residents
It ia appare�t that tbe nwnber of qualified residents of
the City did not meet the need� of the service.
This year, in addition to the existing facilities, a new
pool �rill be opened in the Cherokee �eights area. It
is eatiarated that 6 Water Safety Instructcrs and 3
Life Guards will be needed to �taff the pool.
The residence reqt�iremer�ts for Life Guard and Water Safety
Instructor have beer� consistently waived each yeax
since 1968.
In virM af the pat�ern of the reaulta of these exaainationa
it ia recm�mmended that th� resid�nce requirements be
waived for the te�ts planned for March 1972.
