WHEREAS, Robert J. Gray, an employee of the Department of
Public Safety, Bureau of Police, was injured in a third party accident
on December 1, 1g68, while engaged in the performance of his duties;
and
WHEREAS, the Gity has incurred medical expense in the amount
of �114.00 therefor, and said employee was disabled from work for
a period of time being paid salary in the amount of �1,139. 40 for
which the City may claim credit at the rate of �60.00 per week;
and
WHEREAS, a compromise settlemer�t has been negotiated between
said employee and the other party involved in said accident, which
provides for a net settlement to the Gity in the amount of �650.00;
now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the proper City officers are hereby authorized
to accept the sum of �650.00 in full, final and complete settlement
of its claim herein and to execute any necessary releases thereforr
that of said sum �324.00 is thereby credited to the Police Salary
Fund and �326.00 to the Workmen' s Gompensation Fund.
